High school student elected mayor of Michigan town

Thanks to a write-in vote, the new mayor of Hillsdale, Mich., population of 8,200, is 18-year-old Michael Sessions. The high school senior, who funded his advertising through summer-job earnings and campaigned with the help of classmates, beat the incumbent by two votes.
