Dubai Air Show becomes more important to jetmakers, airlines

The Dubai Air Show may eventually surpass air shows in Paris and Farnborough in importance, some observers say. Airbus and Boeing have booked $86 billion in orders from Persian Gulf airlines so far. "We've never seen orders like this week before," said Scott Carson, president and chief executive of commercial airplanes at Boeing.
