Web startups knock on WGA strikers' doors

Web-based entertainment sites have set out to encourage picketing members of the WGA to submit original material for online-only shows or webisodes. Striking scribes are on the fence as to whether they are allowed to do any writing work, even for Web companies with no studio or network affiliation. However, a guild spokesman said members are not precluded from writing for new media for such companies.
