Some hedge fund managers support greater disclosure

Several managers of big hedge funds warned Congress against imposing excessive regulation on their business, but agreed that the time had come for greater disclosure. George Soros said it was the "financial system itself" that caused the credit-market meltdown and not hedge funds. Congress members questioned special tax breaks that allow hedge funds to be taxed at rates as low as 15%.
