Countries get a boost from strong women leaders

The example of Margaret Thatcher, who showed strong leadership in her time at the head of the British Conservative party, demonstrates the value that women can bring to positions of political power, writes Frieda Klotz. A number of other countries, including Argentina and Brazil, are benefiting from the guidance of strong women, she notes. While women are sometimes given the reins after a situation has already gone south, these women are showing sometimes they can prevail anyway, she writes.
