Ethane cracker remains a viable option for Marcellus, Chesapeake exec says

Chesapeake Energy's pipeline deal with Enterprise Products Partners to channel ethane from Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania to the Gulf Coast will not hurt the Northeast's chances at an ethane-cracking facility, said company executive Scott Rotruck. "Now that we have made arrangements for pipeline outlet, we can produce more ethane and turn our attention to the development of a local cracker," Rotruck said.
