J.C. Penney to use Foursquare to bolster Black Friday sales

J.C. Penney has announced that it will donate $25 to the Salvation Army for every Foursquare check-in at its stores on Black Friday, up to a total of $100,000. The company will donate as much as $400,000 more through its online Salvation Army Angel program, which encourages people to buy holiday gifts for underprivileged children.
