Du Fresne Manufacturing, which created a stylish stainless steel piece for an elevator in One World Trade Center, relies on high-tech equipment and careful organization of its shop floor to manufacture high-quality materials, say company executives. Creative input from workers is also encouraged. Apparently, it's paid off. As one client said, "It's difficult to find a metal fabrication company that combines both reliability and complexity."
