Mo. behind on Medicaid home care assessments

More than 1,100 Missouri Medicaid recipients considered to be urgent cases are still waiting for in-home-care assessments by the state, which took over those duties when contractor Syncare quit in September. Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services Director Margaret Donnelly told a state House committee that her agency was making appointments and working through the backlog, which totaled about 9,000 cases initially.
