SBCA petitions FCC on Philadelphia dish restriction

SBCA last week asked the Federal Communications Commission to declare a Philadelphia ordinance regulating satellite dishes invalid, saying it runs afoul of the agency's Over-the-Air Reception Devices rule. The law reportedly bars owners of single-family homes from installing dishes "between the facades of their homes and the street" and says that if there is no alternative, residents must register the dishes with local authorities and paint them in a color acceptable to the city.
