Scientists model a 2-legged robot after ostrich

In an effort to create a war-time robot that is fast and efficient, scientists are developing a bipedal model based on an ostrich because ostriches run quickly without bouncing, which conserves energy. The company behind the robot hope to use them as search-and-rescue robots in the field.
