Inventory to help preserve ash trees in Ill. village

A tree inventory will help preserve ash trees while dealing with the ash borer insect in the village of Mokena, Ill. The project will identify trees that need to be removed and those that can be treated. It will also provide information about the different species of trees in the area, and guide residents in choosing trees that can thrive, Public Works Director Lou Tiberi said.
