Okla. city manager proposes iPad purchase

Duncan, Okla., City Manager Jim Freida proposed that the city purchase Apple iPads for him and all five City Council members to improve communication among the council and with city staff. The purchase would require more than $5,000 to buy the devices and more than $200 monthly so Freida and council members could have Internet access at all times. The money would come out of funds meant for a project that has been put on hold.
