SABIC joint venture grants Saudi Arabian terminal contract to Chinese firm

Jubail Chemicals Storage and Services, a joint venture of SABIC and Vopak, awarded the engineering and construction contract for its Saudi Arabian chemical terminal to China National Chemical Engineering. The $400 million downstream facility will be built at King Fahd Industrial Port in Jubail and will have an initial capacity of 250,000 cubic meters upon its completion in 2015. The terminal will serve as a vital cog in the region's export output, company officials said.
