Why Canadian farmers are turning to corn

Farmers in the Canadian provinces of Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Alberta are increasingly planting corn as the climate has changed and the growing season has become longer. "The winters have warmed and shortened dramatically," said University of Winnipeg geography professor Danny Blair. Corn is more profitable than wheat, which the provinces have long been known for growing.
