Alaska's Ward Air to celebrate 40 years of service

Ken Ward founded an on-demand charter service in Juneau, Alaska, in 1974. Its current owners, pilots Ed and Randy Kiesel, bought the company in 1993. "Ward Air has a diverse fleet of aircraft and many different missions and we try to do all we can as a locally owned and operated company," said Director of Operations Chris Breiner. Ward Air's current fleet includes De Havilland Beavers, Turbine Otters and Cessna 206s that fly year-round in Alaska and Canada.
