Congress to take up GOP bills that would challenge Interior's fracking rules

Congress is expected to address two Republican measures this week that would stop the Interior Department from regulating oil and natural gas hydraulic fracturing. The House is expected to discuss a bill by Rep. Bill Flores, R-Texas, that would keep the department from enforcing regulations in states with their own rules, as well as a proposal by Rep. Doug Lamborn, R-Colo., to make applying to drill on federal lands easier and faster.
