Cracker Barrel investor fails in bid for dividend, board seat

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store shareholders voted down activist investor Sardar Biglari's nonbinding proposal for the company to pay a $20 special dividend, and rejected for the third time Biglari's bid to win a board seat. His company, Biglari Holdings, and its affiliates are the restaurant chain's biggest shareholder with a combined 20% stake.
