EMC debuts all-flash storage arrays

EMC today is introducing solid-state storage arrays with flash memory, stemming from its 2012 acquisition of XtremIO. The product debut is expected to put the company in competition with such suppliers as Nimbus Data and Pure Storage. "The magic is the architecture that lets us do things in virtual data centers you couldn’t do before, the way the array operates when it supports vMotion and clones VMs,” EMC's Josh Goldstein said of the storage arrays.
