Exoskeletons for paralyzed patients have come a long way, but the future is likely to include thought control for robotic limbs, according to this article. One current example is NeuroRex from Rex Bionics, which incorporates an electroencephalography cap that reads electrical activity in the brain and responds to the wearer's thought commands.
