Firm develops all-in-one blood glucose monitor for diabetes patients

Mendor has developed a pocket-size device, called Discreet, that company co-founder Marcus Westermark says can help cut the costs of managing diabetes. The device combines a meter, lancers, test strips and a control solution into a single unit to help patients monitor their blood sugar levels while on the go. The device is being tested in 1,000 Finnish patients and will be sold in Europe for about $40.
