GAO is asked to assess federal efforts on regenerative medicine

The Government Accountability Office has been urged by a group of Democratic and Republican senators to study the government's efforts involving regenerative medicine. The senators want to know, among other things, how government research funds are being spent and what federal programs and policies have been crafted to foster the development of regenerative medicine products.
