IFRS Foundation chairman: Single accounting standard is important, possible

Michel Prada, chairman of the IFRS Foundation Board of Trustees, recently noted that countries such as the U.S. and Japan continue to use national accounting standards instead of moving toward International Financial Reporting Standards. He argued that countries "are all better off" agreeing and adhering to a common standard.
