Kraft wins appeals court battle over Cracker Barrel branding

Kraft has been marketing Cracker Barrel cheese for 60 years, and the company won an appeals court ruling to prohibit Cracker Barrel Old Country Store from marketing a line of packaged foods under the Cracker Barrel label. Kraft sued the restaurant chain because it believed the similarity in logos could lead to consumer confusion. "The likelihood of confusion seems substantial and the risk to Kraft of the loss of valuable goodwill and control therefore palpable," the panel of appeal judges said.
