McDonald's to spend on speedier service next year

McDonald's will spend about $3 billion next year to open new restaurants and remodel existing ones, while also investing in features such as new preparation tables and a third drive-thru pick-up window to speed service. The company will roll out a new system at all 14,000 U.S. restaurants that will provide customer feedback directly to restaurants so problems get fixed more quickly.
