Poll examines relationship between obesity and race, income

A Pew Research survey found that black and Hispanic men's likelihood of obesity increases as their income rises, while black and Hispanic women's odds of obesity increase if they are poorer. Wealthy white women and poor black men were least likely to be obese. The poll was based on obesity data from high- and low-income countries including the U.S., Australia and Mexico.
