Women without hot flashes may not benefit from hormone therapy

Hormone therapy offers no benefit to recently menopausal women who don't suffer from hot flashes, according to a study of 150 women in Finland. Hormone therapy helped improve menopause-related symptoms in women with moderate-to-severe hot flashes but not in women with mild or no hot flashes, researchers reported in the journal Menopause.
