Tunnel considered in California's earthquake zone

Planners in California are considering a multibillion-dollar project to build what would be the world's second-longest road tunnel in a previously unthinkable area -- through a mountain range in the heart of earthquake country. The 11-mile tunnel is being considered to alleviate traffic on Los Angeles' eastern suburban ring, and critics are already questioning the plan.
