Investment banks unite to create rival to Europe's exchanges

Some of the biggest investment banks in the world will announce plans to create an electronic trading platform to compete against Europe's stock markets, according to published reports. Citigroup, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley and UBS are said to be participants in the venture.
