Editorial: Despite Bernanke move, Fed operations still murky

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke's promise to issue quarterly forecasts moves transparency at the central bank from "muddy to the merely murky," The Wall Street Journal says in an editorial. Better than more openness would be setting monetary policy to more tangible indicators. "More openness is nice, but setting monetary policy by a genuine price rule would be better," the newspaper said.
