UAV could collect data by flying over surface of Mars

An unmanned aerial vehicle could capture data by flying over the surface of Mars. The Aerial Regional-Scale Environment Surveyor could gather information out-of-reach for orbiters. "There are a whole class of measurements that haven't been obtained yet, that can only be obtained by flying about a mile above the surface and making measurements continually as you fly," said atmospheric scientist Joel Levine.
