U.K. health officials ask McDonald's, KFC to help write policy

The U.K.'s health department has recruited quickserve chains McDonald's and KFC to help craft policy on public health issues including obesity, alcohol abuse and diet-related diseases, under a new program called the "Responsibility Deal." The department is expected to release reports from the initiative, which also includes input from food and beverage companies Pepsico, Kellogg's, Mars and Diageo, in the next few weeks.
