Higher demand for aviation biofuels could lower costs, experts say

Demand for aviation biofuels in the U.S. could spur an increase in production, which would also lower costs, experts say. "The focus is on working with industry to figure out how best in 2012 to push the construction of biorefineries," Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said. United Airlines and Alaska Airlines this month flew flights powered by biofuel blends.
