More businesses tie insurance premiums to employee wellness participation, including Marietta Occupational Health Partners, which offers monthly discounts if workers get age-appropriate health screenings. Company director Barbara Lockhart says overweight employees are not penalized and adds businesses should be careful in using that as a marker for discounts because weight "isn't something that is as easy to control" for some people.
