Each region of America has its own Thanksgiving dishes based on local ingredients and traditions. Thanksgiving tables in the South might have collard greens, cornbread dressing and pecan pie. New Englanders add cranberries to appetizers, stuffing and dessert. In Hawaii, turkeys are slow-cooked in an underground oven called an imu.
