Veterinarians learn from release of rehabilitated marine animals

The death of a great white shark recently re-introduced to the ocean after spending 55 days at the Monterey Bay Aquarium demonstrates the challenges veterinarians face when rescuing marine animals. Thousands of marine animals are successfully rescued, treated and released back into the wild every year, but the animals that don't survive motivate veterinarians to learn more in order to help the next case.
