College students can begin preparing for the job they want as early as their freshman year, according to the writer of this article. In their first year of college, students can learn to save money and take on leadership roles in groups. As sophomores, students can begin fine-tuning their resumes and apply for internships, and by junior year students can form relationships with professors and begin thinking long-term. College seniors should be networking and attending career fairs.
