Harrah's has received a green light from the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission to move the games on its riverboat casino in Council Bluffs into its hotel. One of the reasons for transferring the gambling operations is the rising cost of maintenance. "In fact, we are going to save about $2.5 million a year, just in general expenses, associated with operating a floating vessel. So it is time to move on," said Bo Guidry, senior vice president and general manager of the riverboat casino.
