Jacobs Engineering Group settles Minn. I-35W bridge collapse suit

Jacobs Engineering Group has paid Minnesota $8.9 million in a settlement related to the Interstate 35W bridge collapse in August 2007. The group paid the final installment Tuesday, ending the state's litigation over the accident, according to Minnesota Department of Transportation spokeswoman Chris Joyce. The firm said it agreed to the settlement to avoid protracted litigation and more legal expenses.
