Lax oversight, poor leadership are cited in MF Global collapse

A report from a House Financial Services subcommittee about the collapse of MF Global Holdings finds fault with former CEO Jon Corzine, regulators and credit rating agencies. The report says the eighth-largest bankruptcy in U.S. history was preventable, and it suggests that Congress should consider merging the Securities and Exchange Commission with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
