In an effort to attract and pamper travelers, U.S. airlines are hopping on the "premium economy" bandwagon, this feature says. Although this hybrid class allows some fliers to feel as if they are part of the "1 percent," travelers need to be aware of the differences in the plans offered by each airline. This feature attempts to clear up confusion by comparing the premium-economy benefits offered by American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and Virgin America.
