OpenTable fills seats but can chip away at the bottom line

Restaurants pay $1 per guest when patrons make their reservations online at OpenTable's website, 25 cents when the reservation originates at the eatery's site, and nothing when guests use the phone. Restaurateurs agree that the leading online reservation site fulfills its mission of helping eateries fill seats, but some question the high price tag.
