Talley: Army Reserve ready for budget cuts

The Army Reserve is well-positioned to weather impending budget cuts and is unlikely to see significant impacts on its operations, says Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Talley, chief of the Army Reserve. The Reserve expects to cut no more than 1,000 personnel in the next five years, compared with an 82,000-troop reduction expected from the active-duty Army ranks.
