Teacher says common core helps educators, students

Denver high-school math teacher Megan Lawson praises the Common Core State Standards in this opinion article, writing that they have helped her and other teachers "clarify and define what needs to be taught within each content area." To help students meet the standards, teachers have adopted Mathematics Design Collaborative Tools, which students use to complete an assignment, review others' work and revise their own work -- allowing them to work individually, in small groups and as one large group.
