Teachers' transition to administration slowed in NYC

New York City intends to scale back its fast-track principal-training program in favor of professional development that focuses on teachers' long-term development. In making changes to its Teacher Leadership Program, officials say they will enroll fewer educators in the program and also direct more attention to training and mentoring over the course of teachers' careers.
