Aerobic exercise may improve health as people age, study says

A small study of sedentary adults ages 57 to 75 found that those who did an hour of aerobic exercise three times a week for 12 weeks had improved blood flow to the brain, memory, lung capacity and energy. Researchers wrote on the website of Frontiers in Aging Neuroscience that participants in the exercise group also showed improved function and health over the 12-week period when compared with a control group that did not exercise.
