Cursive instruction thrown for a loop

The introduction of the Common Core State Standards led many states to abandon cursive-handwriting instruction, but at least seven states are working to save the lessons. Feedback from students and teachers appears divided, with both acknowledging the growing importance of digital literacy but also citing evidence that shows cursive handwriting can benefit learning.
