ECB is OK with state-aid rules for banks, Draghi says

The European Central Bank says it is satisfied with rules to shift the burden of bank rescues to the private sector, after expressing concern about how junior bondholders would be affected. "We are satisfied with the clarifications provided by the [European] Commission whereby the state-aid rules should be applied with a view to safeguarding financial stability and also a level playing field," ECB President Mario Draghi said.
