Experts outline future changes in medical education programs

Interprofessional training, community-based models and curriculum that includes social sciences, systems management and economics are among the changes ahead for medical education, experts told a forum hosted by Health Affairs. Health professionals will work in formal and informal teams and should be educated together, said Dr. George Thibault, president of the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation.
