How do alternative diplomas affect students' postsecondary plans?

School districts in a majority of states offer alternative paths to graduation for students with disabilities, says a recent report from Achieve and the National Center on Educational Outcomes. Researchers found that employers and postsecondary schools sometimes are confused by the options. The report recommends states research the effect alternative diplomas have on students, limit the options and make sure all paths to graduation are rigorous.
